About Us

Our History and Mission

Fife International Forum (FIF) is a leading third sector charity committed to supporting migrants and refugees across Fife. We work with partners to provide holistic, professional, and high-quality services to the people that use our services. We take a human rights approach to foster a positive and inclusive community that focuses on development and integration.

Founded in 2012, Fife International Forum has built more than a decade of experience supporting migrants and refugees across Fife. Over that time, the organisation has grown into a trusted community resource, working to ensure that Fife is a welcoming and safe place where diversity is celebrated and where practical support helps address poverty and disadvantage experienced by many New Scots.

Building Bridges (2022-27)

We rebranded in 2022 and developed our current strategic plan, Building Bridges (2022-27), that highlights our core values. We have continued to review our model of service to ensure that it focuses on delivering an effective, quality service. While this has been an exciting time of change within the organisation, the core objectives of working with migrants and refugees while celebrating cultural diversity in Fife has remained unchanged. We seek to tackle poverty, low levels of social mobility, employment difficulties, and other issues often faced by New Scots.

Our vision is a welcoming, inclusive, and cohesive Fife where migrants and refugees are empowered to thrive and fully participate in community life. Our mission is to build a sustainable, people-led, and collaborative organisation that promotes engagement, participation, and social cohesion. We empower the people who use our services, influence policy and practice for the wider benefit of migrant and refugee communities, and deliver high-quality support that enables individuals to contribute fully to community life in Fife.
