We can help you build your skills and confidence through the Pre-Academy.
Our Pre-Academy offers a range of practical workshops designed to help you build the skills and confidence that colleges and employers are looking for.
The programme has two stages: first, you take part in workshops; then, you progress to a four-week work placement.

You will develop skills in:
You will complete 12 flexible modules at a pace that works for you, building confidence step by step towards college, employment, stability, and a more secure future for your family. Our people-first approach supports migrants and refugees across Fife.
Once you have completed the workshops, we will assess your readiness to apply for mainstream education or progress towards employment. If you are ready to move forward, you may progress to a four-week work placement. We work in partnership with local organisations and employers to provide meaningful placement opportunities.
Throughout your placement, you will have ongoing support from a buddy, who may be a member of our staff team or one of our volunteers.
The Pre-Academy has a strong track record, with many participants moving into employment or further education. We listen to feedback and use it to improve every session, ensuring you remain at the centre of your development.

Before each cohort begins, we can send a letter to your DWP work coach to help support travel expenses, so that everyone who wants to attend has the opportunity to take part.
To get the most from the Pre-Academy, we ask you to commit from the start and attend every session. Regular attendance will help you build your skills, confidence, and readiness for education or employment.
