Who are New Scots?
New Scots are people from many different countries who have chosen to make Scotland their home. As they begin their new chapter here, the culture, traditions, and identity of the country that they come from remains a valued and lasting part of who they are.
Our New Scots project exists to create welcoming spaces where people celebrate their culture, build new connections, and feel a true sense of belonging. Through events such as Eid celebrations, Christmas gatherings, International Women’s Day activities, shared food events, music and dance workshops, and family fun days, we bring communities together, strengthen understanding, and help people feel seen, valued and at home in Scotland.
